Meet Our President
Rebekah Hitt, RN, CDE, is a Southern California native and daughter of a mom with Type 1 Diabetes. Growing up, Rebekah saw the daily impact of chronic illness on an individual and their family and used the experience to develop a nursing career focused on empowering and educating patients.
Rebekah is passionate about helping people understand their health in practical ways and how to improve it through proven lifestyle changes. She has been in the nursing profession for more than two decades in many different capacities including orthopedics, hospice, telemetry, and health education. She is a Victor Valley nursing program alumnus and recently obtained her Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) designation.
As a published author, Rebekah has written several articles and blog posts for the Victor Valley Daily Press, Inland Empire magazine, and online news source, the High Desert Daily. Rebekah enjoys public speaking and has presented at Victor Valley Chamber of Commerce VMI, Apple Valley and Sunrise Rotary clubs, High Desert Ignite 2017, as well as to several other communities and church groups.
Her community service includes work for Sunset Hills Children’s Foundation, Victor Valley Chamber Ambassador program, Alzheimer’s Association, and Relay for Life. When she is not working, Rebekah enjoys gardening in her greenhouse, cooking, and treasure hunting for vintage décor with her husband, Chet. She counts her three children as the accomplishments of which she is most proud.
Meet Our Executive Director
Cindy Bostick is a native of Southern California and grew up in the city of Compton, the oldest of five siblings. Her first career was in the defense industry where she worked as a finance manager within the controller’s organization at Raytheon Corporation in both El Segundo, Ca. and Tucson, Az. In 2001, Cindy and her husband moved to the High Desert area where she launched her real estate business. Her passion for providing professional and compassionate service extended to training and coaching other professionals both inside and outside of the real estate industry.
As a certified transformative coach and facilitator for the globally acclaimed Best Year Yet! system, and graduate of Supercoach Academy, Cindy deeply appreciates the need for personal growth in order to best serve others. She believes the growth journey doesn’t end until God calls us home, and she enjoys supporting others to help them fulfill their potential. Cindy’s Master of Science degree is in Human Behavior, and her Bachelor of Science degree is in Business Management.
The work of Today’s Woman Foundation as a non-profit began in 2004 with founders, Mary Grove, Lisa Price, and Anna Sugi. Cindy adds, “I am honored to work with a Board of beautiful, like-minded women who share the passion of our founders to empower our diverse community of women through education, advocacy, and resources to enhance body, mind, and spirit.”
