Executive Director Cindy Bostick and seven others are proud to serve as state-certified Crisis Counselors and advocates with Partners Against Violence in preparation for the launch of the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) program at Providence St. Mary Medical Center. Their expertise will play a crucial role in providing necessary support and resources to survivors.
Our new book, Do You Hear Me? The Darkness Didn’t Win brings together personal stories from women across San Bernardino County who have faced adversity and stood back up with courage, wisdom, and resilience. These women are leaders, care providers, survivors and mentors. Their stories are Raw. They are Redemptive, and they are Radiant. The authors are gifting all proceeds from the sale of the book to the Today’s Woman Foundation to continue the work of the organizations nonprofit 501c3 dedicated to empowering, fostering resilience, and building a legacy of hope for generations to come.
Based on the reality that women belong to all strata and walks of life, we strive to build a bridge between successful women leaders, homemakers and entrepreneurs and women that need resources, career skills and support. From single mothers working to get back on their feet, to young women with career goals to patients with serious healthcare issues we strive to empower these women and help transform their lives and the lives of their families.
The Today’s Woman Foundation Women of Excellence Award was created to identify local women in the High Desert who have worked tirelessly, often breaking down barriers and overcoming obstacles that once seemed insurmountable, to serve their communities. It is through this Award that we honor these women and their accomplishments. This award was established in 2017 as part of the annual Black Dress Affair Gala celebration to honor the hard work and dedication of women leaders from across our High Desert.
Do you want to be educated, entertained or inspired? Join us at one of our exciting events coming up soon. We would love to see you there!
Participants will gain practical tools and strategies to identity red flags, protect personal and financial information, and respond effectively to potential scams. Expert speakers include Deputy G. Raza of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and Antonia Villasenor, Education & Outreach Specialist with the California Department of Financial Protection & Innovation.
And how do we fight for the good that is in this world? The best place to start is with our community. It’s the people we surround ourselves with, who join us and become part of a great cause.
Hope and optimism are the fuel for that fight. It’s an investment in tomorrow, believing in the capacity of women, and when we empower them, they in turn will empower others,.
Our Mission:
Empower our diverse community of women through education, advocacy, and resources to enhance body, mind, and spirit.
Through our work in the community, we remain committed to listening and learning from the women we serve.
